Obituary

East Calais, VT Wayne "Red" Tuller, 83, of Jack Hill Road, East Calais died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Central Vermont Hospital. He was born in Montpelier on May 9, 1930 the son of Raymond and Nina (Fraser) Tuller. He attended schools at St. Michael's Grade School and graduated from St. Michael's High School in 1949. After graduation, Red served in the US Marine Corp from 1950 through 1951 during the Korean Conflict. He was married to Ellen Beck in 1957 in Burlington, VT. Red worked for 34 years as a liquor salesman for the House of Seagrams and later with The National Distillery. For many years he was a rural mail carrier for the Montpelier Post Office retiring in November of 1991. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Life-member of Montpelier Elks Club # 924, American Legion, Canadian Club, and the Mutuo Club of Barre. Red was an avid card player and a member of the Montpelier Cribbage League. He is survived by four daughters, Ruthanne Barney of Truro, IA; Nina Tuller of Calais, VT; Rebecca Kilburn of Calais, VT; Barbara LaRosa of Montpelier, VT; three sons, Michael Tuller of Waterbury Center, VT; David Tuller of Aiken, S.C.; and Christopher Tuller of Calais, VT; grandchildren Jason Barney, Dallas Center, IA; Renee Barney, Gunnerson, CO; Blaine Tuller, Derby, VT; Shawn Kilburn, Berlin, VT; Joshua Kilburn, Calais, VT; Bryant Tuller, Patrick Tuller, Erika Tuller, Colby Tuller and Colin Tuller, Calais, VT; Nathan LaRosa, Montpelier, VT and great-grandchildren, Nolan Barney, Jack Barney, Cole Barney, Ty Barney, Drew Barney, Dallas Center, IA; Maryssa Rossi, Keagan Rossi, Berlin, VT; and Mykenzie Tuller, Derby, VT; and many nephews and nieces. He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Roland, Wendell and Robert Tuller. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 24, from 6 to 8 pm at Guare and Sons Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church.
