Wayne Allan Lumsden, 73 of Whittier Hill Road, Cabot died unexpectedly on May 13, 2017.
He was born on June 22, 1943 in Hardwick, VT, the son of Allan and Evelyn Lumsden. He attended schools in Maine and graduated from high school there. Upon graduation, he served in the US Navy.
Wayne worked at Cabot Creamery for many years as a supervisor in the packaging division. He later was a school bus driver for the Cabot School system and then for First Student in Berlin.
On October 15, 1987 he married Ramona Davis in Cabot.
Wayne was a Mason in Cabot and a former member of the Cabot Ambulance Service. He enjoyed riding the back roads in his car and listening to country music or his audio books.
He is survived by his Wife, Ramona, of Berlin; daughter, Jennifer Devenger of Hardwick; three sons, John Lumsden and his wife, Robin of Highgate Center, Matt Lumsden of Essex Jct, and Allan and his wife Laura Lumsden of Rochester Hills, MI; two step-daugthers, Rosemary and her husband Carter Nunn of Cabot and Dawn and her husband John Robert of TN; two step-sons, Jeffrey Sweeney of Northfield, and Tim and his wife Amy Sweeney of Northfield; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial reception will be held 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 21st at the Cabot United Church.
