With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Virginia Leigh Carpenter, who left us on January 16, 2025, at the age of 67. Virginia, born on September 1, 1957, in Montpelier, Vermont, was a cherished member of her community and a dedicated educator whose influence touched countless lives.
A proud graduate with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Vermont, Virginia devoted her professional life to shaping young minds as a teacher at Moretown Elementary School and St. Monica's School. Her passion for education and nurturing spirit inspired many of her students and colleagues alike, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Virginia also had a passion for the well-being of animals. She actively volunteered for the Central Vermont Humane Society and rescued many animals throughout her life.
Virginia is survived by her beloved son, Kyle Himmelsbach of Montpelier, who carries forward her legacy of kindness, love, and a strong commitment to making a positive difference in the world.
Services will be held privately. Her interment will be held in Richford, VT
In this time of loss, we hold tight to the memories of Virginia's laughter, her compassion, and her unwavering dedication to her family, students, and community. While we mourn her passing, we also appreciate the profound impact she had on our lives and the beauty she brought into this world.
