Viola Fielder, 88, a former resident of Gould Apartments, Montpelier, passed away April 15, 2010 at the Berlin Health & Rehabilitation Center, Berlin, VT.
She was born December 18, 1921 in Hartford, VT, the daughter of Raymond McNaulty and Irene (Farnham) McNaulty.
On February 18, 1938 she married Walter Fielder, he predeceased her on November 8, 1990.
Viola was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family; other interests include knitting, cooking, bingo, game shows, word search, the Red Sox and going on picnics.
Viola was a member of the Montpelier Senior Center.
Viola is survived by her daughters, Nancy Millett and her husband Gilbert of Waterford, Maine, Carol Vest and Colleen Wimble of Waterbury Center and her son, Malcolm Fielder and his wife Diana of East Montpelier, a sister Violet Howat of Plymouth, Michigan, sister-in-law, Marion Frink of Middlesex, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and several very special friends.
She was predeceased by a brother, Burton, and step-sister Irene Millett and a step-brother Walter Robertson.
Viola's family thanks the staff of Berlin Health and Rehab for the many ways they cared for her and the special friendships and blessing they added to her life.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family, no calling hours will be held.
