Timothy Charles Healy, 65, of Evans Road, Northfield, died January 13, 2020 with family by his side. His cause of death was Metastatic Bladder Cancer. Tim was born on July 10, 1954 in Bennington to Charles and Carmelita Healy. At the age of 2, the family moved to 37 Liberty Street in Montpelier and resided there for the next 26 years. Timmy became an integral part of the neighborhood playing games everything from board games to "Capture the Flag" and "Hide and Seek," stickball to basketball games in his familys barn, and baseball games on the Union School playground.
He attended grade school at St. Michaels and transferred to public school in 7th grade. After high school, Timmy attended Lyndon State College studied Recreation and made fantastic life- long friends, as he would often state. Tim immensely enjoyed playing, coaching, and officiating various levels of sports and all the camaraderie that followed afterwards in everything from flag football, Little League, Babe Ruth league, softball, basketball and golf. His favorite teams included the Red Sox, Celtics and the New York Giants.
Tim worked for various flooring contractors in the central Vermont area and at the Woodside Juvenile Center. After co-directing a group home for teenage sex offenders for a few years, Timmy put his heart for over 20 years into being the shared living provider to Ronald "Ronnie" Coleman. Because of this experience, Tim wanted to make sure a big thank you and a big hug go out to Dennis Gray, Mary- Jane Blouin, and everyone else at Upper Valley Services of Moretown for all you do for our folks with developmental disabilities.
Timmy is survived by his daughter, Ashley Delphia of NYC; his shared living provider, Ronald Coleman of Northfield; his sister, Lauren Bell (husband Charlie) of Minneapolis, MN; his brothers: Michael of Barre, and Patrick (wife Lauri Snetsinger), of Marshfield; nephews: Royal (wife Anna) of Hastings on the Hudson, NY, Wyatt of Lyndon, Brendan of Barre, and Jason Bell (wife Jamie and son Jacob) of Minneapolis, MN; niece, Sara Chase (husband Adam and son Liam) of South Barre; Uncle Joe Healy of Montpelier, and various cousins. He is also survived by his black lab "Delilah".
He was predeceased by his parents, his older brother, Shawn, and "Sampson" his other black lab.
A funeral mass for Tim will be held 12:00 pm on Friday, July 31, 2020 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church
