Theodore Warner died peacefully in his sleep at Woodridge Nursing Home on November 2, 2015.
Theodore Charles Warner was born November 21, 1930 in Flint, Michigan. Ted spent his summers with his family near the Straits of Mackinaw, Michigan. During his college days at Wapton College of Science in North Dakota he met his beloved wife of 65 years, Kathleen Kinney. Ted and Kay moved to Vermont in 2002 to live close to their children.
Ted is survived by his wife Kathleen, his 4 children Kathy Warner and husband Robert, Patrice Alexander and husband Joseph, Theodore Michael Warner and Gregory Warner and wife Laelia. He is also survived by his grandchildren Todd Hitchins and wife Celia, David Isaac and wife Shannon and their children Rebecca, Brandon and Drew, Moebius Simmons and partner Jen and Heather Johnson and family. Other survivors around the country include sisters Nancy Mier, Vivian Hensel, and Debbie Rohlfs and husband Tom; sisters-in-law Margaret Kinney and Carol Kephart, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ted was a proud member of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Ted worked for various newspapers and publishing firms around the country during his career as a printer and proofreader. A lifelong poet and novelist his latest work of fiction "Dakota Queen" was published when Ted was 83.
A private memorial will be held when Ted is laid to rest at Green Mount Cemetery in Montpelier, VT.
