Ted Charles Leno, 59, of Barre, VT died Saturday, December 12, 2009 after a long illness.
He was born on April 3, 1950 the son of Harold C. & Doris B. (Mayo) Leno. He attended St. Michael's Grade School, Montpelier Public Schools and graduated in 1969 from Montpelier High School.
Ted was a self-employed painter in the Central Vermont area for most of his working life.
He enjoyed skiing and hiking and all outdoor nature activities. Ted was an antique car enthusiast and attended many car shows in Stowe. He applied his photography skills to his activities and enjoyed his travels and spending time in Florida and most of all spending time with his daughter and family.
Ted was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Ted is survived by a daughter, Anna Ball of East Montpelier, VT
3 sisters, Susan Shangraw of Milton, VT; Sherrie Clark of Barre Town, VT; Sandra Moriarty of Montpelier, VT; and a brother, Steven Leno of Montpelier, VT.
He is also survived by aunts, uncles and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Ted was pre-deceased by his parents, aunts, uncles and a cousin.
Calling hours will be held from 6-8 pm, Sunday, December 20th, at Guare & Sons Funeral Home, 30 School Street, Montpelier, VT. A Memorial service will be held at 7:30 pm during calling hours.
