After a magical week of transitioning from this earth, Susan M. Russell gracefully moved into the next realm on the afternoon of Saturday, December 19, 2009 at her home in Calais. Her family blessed her as she gently eased into a place of serenity, Light, and Love. An intimate family ceremony was held solstice night. She is survived by her husband Jack Russell, daughter Heather Rudin, of Seattle, WA, son Erik Rudin of Portland, OR, sister Lindsay Middelton of Washington, D.C., brother Jeffrey Middelton of Seattle, WA, and five grandsons. A local memorial of her life and a retrospective of her art will be held mid-July 2010 to celebrate her love of Vermont, community and art.
