Barre, VT Susan Ruth Lupien, 67, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2014. Susan was born in Montpelier, July 12, 1946, the daughter of Leon and Grace L. (Mosher) Lupien. Susan moved to Brandon when she was 16 years old and returned to the Washington County area in 1970. Susan had many friends and received support through Sterling Area Services of Morrisville. She spent some of her happiest years with Linda Gringas of Barre. Susan loved traveling, country music, singing and dining out. She enjoyed game shows, bingo and playing the penny slot machines. Her passion was spending time with her family and friends. Susan is survived by her sisters: Elizabeth Messier of Island Pond, VT; Patricia McGrath, and Barbara Boutin, both of Graniteville, VT; Carolyn Wynne of Oceanside, CA; Sandra Moote of Orange, VT; Sara Covey of Barre, VT; Cynthia Barr of West Berlin, VT; brothers: David Lupien of Barre, VT; and George Lupien of Carney's Point, NJ. Her parents and brothers Erwin Lupien and James Lupien are deceased as well as a sister, Gloria Lupien. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 9th at Green Mount Cemetery, Lower State Street, Montpelier. A memorial reception will follow the burial at the American Legion, Post # 10 in Barre, VT.
