Obituary

Steven Harold Leno, 50, of Mountainview Drive, Montpelier died unexpectedly May 4th of a heart attack at his sister, Sandra's, home. He was born at Heaton Hospital in Montpelier on April 16, 1960 the son of Harold Charles & Doris Blanche (Mayo) Leno. Steven received his education at Montpelier Public Schools and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1977. Steven was a hard worker and was employed for many years by Dubois Construction of Montpelier. He loved outdoor activities, fishing, landscaping, bowling, playing chess and cribbage, and being a #1 Red Sox fan. Stevie enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by his three sisters, Susan Shangraw and her husband, Ron of Milton, VT; Sherrie Clark and her husband Gary of Barre Town; Sandra Moriarty and her husband, Charles of Montpelier; nieces and nephews, Angela; Erica; Kevin; Kyle; and Anna. Stevie is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Irene Groleau and her husband, Raymond of Websterville; Morris Leno and his wife, Marilyn of Schenectady, NY and Janice Bragdon of Easthampton, MA; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Ted Leno on Dec. 12, 2009 and several uncles. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 10th from 6-8 pm at Guare & Sons Funeral Home, 30 School Street, Montpelier. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 during calling hours. Burial will be at Berlin Corners Cemetery at 12:30 pm, Friday, May 14th. Memorial contributions may be made to Silver Towers, c/o Montpelier Elks Lodge, 203 Country Club Road, Montpelier, VT 05602.
