WILLISTON, VT Stephen J. Timko Jr. 76, formerly of Stratford, CT and Berlin, VT passed away peacefully July 9, 2009 after a short battle with cancer at the Vermont Respite House with his daughter Kim by his side. He was born January 12, 1933 in Bridgeport, CT the son of Stephen J. Timko Sr. and Martha (Zentkovich) Timko/Hrasch. Steve is survived by his loving wife Mary (Sovich) Timko of 54 years, daughter Kim York and husband Bill of Williston, daughter Joanne Fraser of Ansonia, CT, sister Martha Enright and husband Bob of Fairfield CT, grandchildren Nicole York and boyfriend Justin Gibbs of Waterbury Center VT, Jamie York of Williston VT, Natasha Fraser of Little River SC and Anna Leigh (York) Walters and husband Patrick of Canton, GA. Great-grandsons Kyle Gibbs of Waterbury Center VT, Joshua and Evan Walters of Canton GA also survive him. The family wishes to sincerely thank the wonderful staff and volunteers at Vermont Respite House for the great care that was given to Steve during his stay. There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at Guare & Sons Funeral Home Montpelier VT.
