Shirley Scribner, 89, passed away peacefully at the Four-Season Care Home in Northfield, VT, on May 4, 2025.

Shirley was born to her parents, Roger and Elma Miller, on July 9, 1935, in Wolcott, VT.

Shirley attended schools in Wolcott, VT, and sought higher education at the Barre City Hospital School of Nursing. Shirley worked as a dedicated nurse at Central Vermont Hospital for more than forty years.

Shirley married Roger Scribner, and they made their home and raised their family in Berlin, VT

Shirley is survived by her son, Rupert Scribner, and daughter-in-law, Sarah Donchi, of Soldotna, Alaska. She is also survived by her sisters, Kristi and Rosie Miller.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Alma Miller, Arrangements are in the care of Guare and Sons Funeral Home of 30 School Street, Montpelier, VT.

Interment will take place at the Fairmount Cemetery in Wolcott, VT.
