It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shawn Lee Maranville, age 52, who left us on December 27, 2024. Born on December 5, 1972, in Berlin, Vermont, Shawn grew up with a spirit of adventure and a passion for life that touched everyone he met. A 1991 graduate of Montpelier High School, he went on to attend the Community College of Vermont. Most recently Shawn worked as a Parts Manager at Auto Zone. He also wore many hats throughout his life, from being a school bus driver for the Union 32 district to a custodian for Montpelier School District and working at Aaron's Leasing.

Shawn was a beloved husband to Patti (Pulsifer) Maranville and a cherished son of Phyllis and Charlie Maranville. He is survived by two brothers Dennis and his partner Margaret and Jerry and his wife Angie; one sister, Kelly Weston and her husband Winston, Jr.; and nieces, nephews, and many cousins and loving in laws.

Shawn embraced life fully, bringing laughter and warmth to his family and friends. He was known for his love of sports, especially the Red Sox and Bruins, and his deep pride as a 32-degree Mason from the Aurora Lodge. He also entertained many as a professional wrestler under the name "Farmer Boy McCoy."

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the Old Brick Church in East Montpelier. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the service beginning at 2:00. He will be laid to rest at the Eaton Cemetery in Marshfield, VT.

Rest in peace, Shawn. You will be missed but never forgotten.
