Barre, VT Ruth A. Boyce, 83, formerly of Vine Street in Northfield, died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at her home at the Lincoln House in Barre. She was born on December 27, 1925 in Middlesex Center, the daughter of Arthur and Violet (Morrill) Farnham. She attended graded school in Morrisville. In August of 1941, she married John L. Boyce in Morrisville. Mr. Boyce predeceased her. Mrs. Boyce spent her career as a Nurses Aid at the Copley Manor Nursing Home in Morrisville. She was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Church in Montpelier. Mrs. Boyce was especially fond of children and would fill her bulletin boards with pictures of her extended family, friends, and the children she enjoyed so much. Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Freeman of Berlin; two brothers, Robert Farnham of Stockbridge, VT and Geary Farnham of Alpine, NC; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; a sister, Lillian Circello; and a brother, Daniel Farnham. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring in Morrisville.
