Royce Thomas Dunn, 52, of Junction Road in Berlin, died on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at his home.
He was born on June 28, 1955, the son of William E. Dunn and Verna (Crane) Pelletier. He attended schools in Randolph, Royalton, and Barre, finishing Spaulding High School in 1973.
In 1973, Royce enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and after serving, was honorably discharged.
He worked as a manager and salesperson for tire dealers in the area and in California.
He was a member of the East Bethel Grange, Future Farmers of America and the 4-H club. He was also a member of the Mid-State Riding club, participating in horse shows.
His hobbies include cooking, gardening, fishing and hunting, travel, art, and everything having to do with motorcycles.
Survivors include; his long time companion; Diana "Ducky" Delude of Berlin; his daughter Christina Arsenault of Brockton, MA; mother, Verna Pelletier of Berlin, VT; Sisters, Patricia Brooks of Barre, Pauline Smith of Williamstown, and Betsy Kelty of East Barre; brother Edward Dunn of Williamstown, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind his service dog, Max, who was specially trained to help Royce with his disabilities.
He was predeceased by his father; brother, William Dunn; sisters, Paula, Mary, and Barbara.
Calling hours will be held from 7:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 with a remembrance service beginning at 8:00pm at Guare & Sons Funeral Home.
