Middlesex, VT Rory Stephen Basak, 58, of Shady Rill Road died unexpectedly at his home. He was born on June 11, 1962 in Quantico, VA, the son of Joseph and Shirley Basak (Blaine) Reynolds. He attended schools in Massachusetts and college at Holyoke Community College. Rory served his country in the United State Army. He was primarily stationed in Germany. After four years of service, he was honorably discharged. Rory held many different jobs in his life. He most enjoyed working as a Chef creating delicious meals for his patrons. He enjoyed Antiquing. Rory could be often found at local flea markets and tag sales looking for undiscovered treasurers. Survivors include his son; Jeremy Basak of Middlesex, VT, who will hold his father in his heart forever, his daughter Jessica Keller of Holyoke, MA; his mother, Shirley Basak Reynolds of Middlesex, VT. He was predeceased by a son, Shaun Basak of Holyoke, MA. Services with military honors will be held in the spring in Massachusetts.
