Ronald R. Pittsley, 68, of Mountain View Drive passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his home.
He was born on January 20, 1949, the son of Richard and Irene (Beaudoin) Pittsley. He attended Barre Public Schools and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1968.
On June 24, 1968, Ronald enlisted in the United States Army. He served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on June 23, 1971
On May 21, 1977, he married Donna Fisher in Shelburne, VT.
Ronald worked as an Oil Burner Technician for several companies in the area including, Couillard Heating, Irving Oil, and most recently for Gillepsie's Fuel.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Legion Post #10. His interests include NASCAR racing as well as photography.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Pittsley of Williamstown; daughter, Amanda Pittsley of Williamstown; son, Corey Pittsley and his wife, Jennifer and their children, Cole and Megan, all of Topsham, VT; his father, Richard Pittsley; sisters, Catherine Degreenia and her husband, Forrest and Susan Pittsley and her companion, Donald; and a brother, John Pittsley and his wife Andrea of Billerica, MA
A memorial fellowship be held at the American Legion, Post #10 in Barre at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 4, 2017.
