Robert Roy Sicely, 52, of Elm Street died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 19th at his home.
He was born on November 20, 1964, the son of Raymond and Bernice Sicely. Growing up, Rob attended the Rumney Memorial School in Middlesex and later graduated from Union 32 class of 1982.
Rob spent his career as a chef. He worked for a number of years at Rowan Court Nursing Home and later he owned a Caf in Burlington until his health declined in 2010.
Rob was an avid NASCAR fan, cheering on Joey Legano on Sunday afternoons. He also loved to cook incredible foods for his friends and family. Family was most important to him and had become very close to a many of them. He will be missed by them dearly.
Survivors include his mother, Bernice Sicely of Rutland; brothers, Joe Sicely and his wife Martha of Barre, and Richard Sicely and his fiance, Becky Dodge of East Montpelier; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two special friends, Natasha and A.J. King and his caregiver, Kelly Weston.
Calling hours will be held for both Robert and his mother, Bernice from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, September 4th at the Guare & Sons Funeral Home. A graveside service for both will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, September 5 at the Berlin Corners Cemetery.
