Ramona J. Brown, 65, of Graniteville Road died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at her home in Williamstown.
She was born on April 3, 1944 in Montpelier the daughter of Howard A. & Bernice (Sweeney) McQueen.
Ramona was married to William E. Brown on December 15, 1960 in Northfield.
She attended St. Michael's Grade School in Montpelier and graduated from Williamstown High School. Ramona worked for Vermont Mutual Insurance Company and Union Mutual Insurance Company of Montpelier; Rabbit Hollow Knitting Mill and Mayo Nursing Home both of Northfield. Ramona was a home maker and Mother raising 3 daughters. She enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycle riding, crocheting, flower gardens, cake decorating and spending time with her family and friends.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and American Legion Auxiliary Unit #10.
Ramona is survived by her husband, Bill of Williamstown; daughters, Jeannie Brown of Barre, VT; Penny Brown of Barre, VT and Janice Brown of East Montpelier, VT; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and three sisters, Delores Dunbar, Brenda Davis and Loretta Gerrish.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 am, Saturday, March 13th, from St. Augustine Catholic Church, Barre Street, Montpelier. A memorial reception will follow at The Canadian Club in Barre. Burial will be in Waterbury Center Cemetery at a later date.
