Philip Alan Peatman, 77 of Middlesex, passed away on September 6, 2025, at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, VT.
Phil was born on March 3, 1948, to the late George and Leona (Barkyoumb) Peatman in Burlington, Vermont. He graduated from Montpelier High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a Purple Heart recipient. In 1971, Phil married Helen Taplin. They later divorced, and he married Linda Baird White in 1982. Although they later divorced, they remained longtime friends.
Phil had retired from his own business, Peatman's Home Service. Before that, he worked as an electrician for Greaves Electric. He was a member of the Central Vermont Boating Club, where he spent countless hours boating, fishing, camping, and enjoying the company of his many friends. Phil was also a member of the Montpelier Cribbage League. He loved hunting, playing poker, golfing, and visiting with friends and family. Phil was loved and cared about by all who knew him. He was best known for just showing up. If anyone needed Phil, regardless of the time of day, he was there. Phil was very proud of his children, stepchildren, friends, and his Military Service. He will be greatly missed.
