Paul T. Redmond, 71, passed away on April 28th, 2015 at Dartmouth Hitchcock hospital. He was a graduate of St. Michael's high school, the University of Ottawa, and Trinity college. He taught for a year at Vergennes high school and then was a social worker at the former Weeks school. In 1972, he returned to Montpelier to work with his brother in the family business, Paul's Home Bake Shop, until 1987. At that point, he pursued a career as a CPA, retiring in 2014.
He leaves behind his wife, the former Mary Campbell, and two children, Justin and his wife Shauna and their son Blakely; and his daughter Erin and her partner Johnathan Stump; a sister, Kathleen Germana of Waterbury ctr.; and brother Edward of Scottsdale, AZ. He also leaves several nieces and nephews whom he treated like his own children.
He was predeceased by his sister Mary and brothers James and Michael, and his parents, Paul and Catherine Redmond. He always put his family first and was a man of integrity and selflessness. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visiting hours will be at Guare and Sons/Barber & Lanier Funeral Home from 7-9 pm on Saturday, May 2nd. The committal will be at Doty cemetery, Center Road, East Montpelier on Sunday at 10 am.
