Patricia "Pat" Mary Katherine Flanagan Rea

Brookfield, VT

Patricia Mary Katherine Flanagan Rea of Brookfield, Vermont passed away peacefully on December 3, 2023 at Mayo Rehab and Continuing Care Facility. Pat was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was born on March 7, 1940, in Montpelier, VT to James Flanagan and Dorothy (Barclay) Flanagan.

Pat attended St. Michael's school and graduated in 1958. She attended college at the Community College of Vermont. Pat worked for the state of Vermont for 36 years in purchasing, public records, and the tax department. Pat retired from the state of Vermont in 2009.

Pat had many interests and hobbies, some of those included music, gardening, and being an active member of the Brookfield planning commission as an auditor and lister, and member of Our Lady of Angels Roman Catholic Church.

Pat is survived by her beloved children Barbara Wilson of Placerville, CA, Timothy Rea of Cookeville, TN, and Christopher Rea of Roxbury, VT. She is survived by her grandchildren Emma Rea, Hannah Rea, Katie Rea, and Billy Wilson, Sister's Joan Gilpin of Ohio, Sue Renard of Rhode Island, many nieces and nephews from Ohio, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Florida.

Pat was predeceased by her husband David Taylor Rea, her parents James and Dorothy Flannagan and her brother John B. Flanagan.

A graveside service will be held at Green Mount Cemetery in Montpelier, VT on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00 am in loving remembrance of Patricia "Pat" Rea.
