Patricia "Pat" Rose Carriveau Patricia "Pat" Rose Carriveau 83 of Montpelier passed away at the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family on December 5, 2009. Patricia was born in Waterbury, Vermont on January 16, 1926 the daughter of John and Mary (Martin) King. Patricia graduated from Waterbury High School in 1944. She met "the love of her life", Frank Carriveau of Rochester, Vermont and they were married on September 5, 1947. Patricia and Frank were married for 61 wonderful years until Frank passed away on May 27, 2009. They were introduced by Frank's sister, Margaret who was also Patricia's High School friend. Patricia's family always came first and she dedicated the early years of her married life to raising her three sons. She worked for Nelson Brothers, Sears Roebuck and Company and the Howard Bank of Montpelier. Patricia joined her husband, Frank and son, Michael when they opened Carriveau's Gulf in 1973 on Berlin Street in Montpelier as the Office Manager/Bookkeeper where she worked for 25 years until her retirement in 1998. Patricia was up bright and early every Saturday morning so she could peruse each and every lawn sale in Montpelier to find the best deal of the weekend. Patricia and Frank traveled throughout Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine enjoying the beautiful scenery while they were trying to find that special treasure. Some of Patricia's happiest moments were the times she spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren at various family gatherings. Patricia is survived by her three sons, Frank B. Carriveau and his wife Rachel of Montpelier, their daughter Becky Carriveau of Saugus, Massachusetts; Michael A. Carriveau and Robin Barton of Plainfield, their four children, Justin Carriveau and wife Dana and family of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lisa Carriveau of South Barre, Jason Carriveau of Cambridge, Massachusetts and Chandler Barton of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Greg P. Carriveau of Adamant, his daughter Amanda Sue and his son Joseph (Joey) Patrick Carriveau. Her two sisters, Doris Simonetti and Helen King. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Frank and her grandson, Frank Matthew Carriveau. She was also predeceased by her three brothers, John, Thomas, and Jessie King and five sisters, Lela Munger, Nellie Laraway, Iva Hennessey, Martha King and Laura VanGorda.
