Obituary

Pamela Rose (Ghiringhelli) French, 65, of Graniteville Vt. passed away suddenly on March 26, 2014. Pam was born in Montpelier, Vermont on January 2, 1949 at Heaton Hospital to Catherine (O'Neill) and the late Harry D. Ghiringhelli. On September 21st 1968, Pam married Bert Stephen French Jr in Montpelier. They made their home in Middlesex and Worcester until Bert's death on June 20th, 2005. After Bert's passing, Pam moved to Graniteville to be closer to her family. Pam grew up in Montpelier, Vermont graduating from Montpelier High School in 1968. After graduation, Pam began a career at National Life Insurance Company which spanned over 40 years. She worked there full time until she had to retire due to her husbands illness. After her husband Bert's death, Pam went back to work at National Life part-time. She also worked part-time for the Worcester and then Graniteville post office, retiring from the post office in 2011. She continued working at National Life Insurance Company part-time until her passing. Pamela enjoyed gardening, Nascar, ceramics, yearly trips to Maine with her family, and her Facebook games. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. Pam is survived by her son, Timothy Bert French and wife, Robin of Graniteville; their children Airman Alex French and Elizah French; daughter, Sarah Lynn Emmons and husband Timothy, of Williamstown; and grandsons, Maximus and Gabriel Dexter. Also surviving are her sisters, Cynthia Daniels and husband, Raymond Quimby Jr.; Lynda and husband, Larry Graham; and her Mother, Catherine Ghiringhelli; and nieces, Nancy; Lisa; Amy; Chrysta; and Laurie; nephews, Nick and Don; and many aunts; uncles and cousins. Pam had many special friends for whom she enjoyed going out to dinner with and just catching up on local news. Pamela was predeceased by her husband Bert S. French Jr; Father, Harry D. Ghiringhelli; sister, Jean Lyons and in-laws. Bert and Stella French. As per Pam's wishes there will be a celebration of her life at a future date in May at her home in Graniteville.
