Moretown, VT Neil Roscoe Manning, 68, of River Road in Moretown, died on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his home. Neil was born on August 4, 1945, the son of John Fredson Manning and Mattie Ola (Belville) in Randolph, VT. He attended schools in Randolph and graduated from Randolph Union High School. He joined the U.S. Navy on August 15th, 1963. On August 9th, 1986 he married June A. Lloyd at the Texas Falls in Hancock, VT. Neil worked for many years for the state of Vermont in the Buildings Division and General Services. He retired on July 1st, 2011. Neil was a lifelong outdoorsman, Red Sox fan, and cheerleader for any football team the Manning boys were part of. Survivors include his wife June; his children Angela Manning of Ohio, Mark Manning of Ohio, Linda McIntyre of N Woodstock NH, Cheri Manning of Thornton NH, Victoria Jewett of East Barre VT, Victor Mills of Colorado, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Siblings; Larry Manning, Roy Manning, Marie Dewey, Gloria Therrien and Joyce Small; several nieces and nephews including Joe Manning of Northfield. He was predeceased by a brother, John Manning. A memorial service will be held on November 22nd at 12 noon at the Bible Baptist Church, 608 Vine St., Barre VT (across from Legare's Farm Market on the Barre Montpelier Rd).
