Nancy Jane Walbridge, 60, of Northfield Street, Montpelier passed into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Fletcher Allen Health Care with her family at her side.
Nancy was born on August 12, 1952 in Montpelier the daughter of Philip & Verna (Roya) Walbridge. She attended St. Michael's Graded Schools and Montpelier High School.
She enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends. Many of her son's friends looked up to her as a Mother figure. She loved traveling, camping, hunting, sitting around at camp fires, boating, bowling, candles wind chimes and owls as well as listening to Rock & Roll music. Nancy was a member of the VFW Ladies Aux.
Nancy worked for the State of Vermont Department of Employment & Training for over 30 years. She also worked at Country Cousins in Barre.
She is survived by her son, Dondi Walbridge of Montpelier and granddaughters, Angel Walbridge & Jasmine Donovan; sisters, Mary Tevyaw of Greenville, SC; Marlene Walbridge of Colchester, VT; brothers, Philip Walbridge and his wife, Brenda of Waterbury Center, VT; Peter Walbridge and his wife, Sue of Williamstown, VT; Mark Walbridge and his wife, Judy of Maulden SC: David Walbridge and his wife, Barbara of Greenville, SC; Joseph Walbridge and his wife, Tina of Newport, NH; Ronald Walbridge and his wife, Cheri of Northfield, VT; many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Theresa Senecal, Paula Curtis, & Mary McLellan-Gomes. She is also survived by her former husband, Fred Springer and his family, Fred MacKenzie, Sherry Hurley, Terry Williams, Anthony Springer, and Lucretia MacKenzie.
Nancy was pre-deceased by two sisters, Brenda Sweeney, Verna Mae Clow and a brother William Walbridge.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 11th from 2-4 pm at Guare & Sons Funeral Home. A prayer service will start at 3 pm.
