Michael Wayne Coffin, 66, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 18, 2024.

Michael was born on November 5, 1957 in Montpelier, VT to Robert and Ramona (Coffin) Johnston. Michael graduated from Union 32 High School.

Michael held a number of public service positions, and recently worked as a Dispatcher for E&S Transport.

Michael so much loved his friends, family, and animals. He loved telling a good story and laughter. He enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, or just being around family and friends. He was a social butterfly and a walking entertainment center. Mike considered every acquaintance a friend.

Survivors include his siblings; Gregg and his wife Sandy Coffin of East Montpelier, Bobbi Jo Coffin Riendeau of North Hyde Park, VT, Sue Ann Coffin and her partner, John West of Bakersfield, VT; and many nieces and nephews that he thought the world of.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Shirley Marshall, niece Nikki Marie Martindale, and nephew Rainni Martindale.

Public calling hours will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Guare & Sons Funeral Home. His remains will be committed privately at his family's lot in North Branch Cemetery in Middlesex.
