Berlin, VT
Marilyn Robinson, 85, of formerly of Route 2 in Berlin and most recently of Rowan Court Nursing Home, died on Sunday, May 10, 2015.
She was born on September 14, 1929 in Montpelier, VT, the daughter of William Thomas and Eunice (Hood) Robinson. She attended the Morse School House in East Montpelier and later graduated from Montpelier High School in 1947. She then attended the University of Vermont before enlisting into the United State Air Force in 1949. She served her military career as a Climatologist for 26 years before retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant on March 31, 1976. While serving she was awarded two Air Force Commendation Medals and the Bronze Star for Vietnam Service award.
She was an active bowler and served as secretary for the Vermont State Bowlers Association
Survivor include her nephew; David H. Nelson and his companion Darlene Holms of Berlin; cousins, Roberts Sauter of Schenectady, NY and Reginald Robinson of Hinesburg, VT; sister, Grace Messier of Barre; niece Irene Lantagne of Barre; and Aunt, Irene Lindsey of Stannard, VT.
A graveside service and Military honors will be 2:30 pm on Thursday, May 28 at Robinson Cemetery in Calais, VT.
