Montpelier, VT Marjorie M. LaMountain, 99, formerly of Prospect Street and most recently of Heaton Woods, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Woodridge Nursing Home. Marjorie was born in Sheldon Springs, VT to Almon and Lila (Mayo) Demingway. She grew up in St. Albans and later moved to Montpelier attending St. Michael's High School. In 1941, she married Woodrow LaMountain and resided in Worcester until his passing in 1994. Marj enjoyed gardening, flowers and being in the country, but her most loved interest was playing her violin. She played in the Vermont Philharmonic Orchestra in the 1950's, many events in Worcester, the Barre Scottish Dance Band and years of volunteering at area nursing homes and assisted living facilities with her many musical friends. She is survived by her two children, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, cousins and very special friends. In honoring her wishes there will be no funeral services.
