Montpelier, VT Marilyn S. Wemitt, 92, died on Sunday morning, August 19, 2018. She was born in Richford, VT on May 4, 1926. Her parents were Edison J. and Ilma (Shepardson) Sears. She attended schools in St. Albans and St. Johnsbury, VT, graduating from Gorham, NH in 1943. She moved to Middlebury, VT where she met and married Clement Wemitt in June 1946. She was a homemaker bringing up their six children until her husband became ill and died. She then worked ten years for the State of Vermont and then later, another ten years for National Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1988. She was predeceased by her husband and son Matthew in 1973 and then her son Mark in 2012. She was also predeceased by her mother, father, four sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by her children; Gail Pinard of Sequim, WA, Beth Plante of Montpelier, Jaye Kwasnik of Glenwood, NH, and Todd Wemitt of Montpelier; thirteen grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. There will be no service per request of the family. Interment will be in Binghamville, VT.
