Marian Roberta Lavigne of Williamstown, Vermont, passed away December 25, 2008.
She was born January 15, 1927, daughter of Robert and Avis (Lawrence) Walker of Williamstown, Vermont.
She is survived by her son Mark Douglas Walker and daughter-in-law Brenda Lee Walker of Cary, Illinois, brother Douglas Walker of Burlington, niece Dawn Walker, nephews Chris and Craig Walker of Burlington, great-nephew Grant, granddaughter Keri and great-grandchildren MacKenzie and Kaleb. She also loved and deeply missed her dogs Jake and Molly, and her cat Miss Maggie was her companion at her home in Williamstown.
She was an ardent crafter, and painting was a great joy to her. Mrs. Lavigne graduated from Williamstown High School. She married Dennis Lavigne in 1979, and made their home in Montpelier and later in Riverton. She was a member of the Congregational Church in Barre and Williamstown, the Bowling League in Barre-Randolph, and the Senior Center in Northfield. Mrs. Lavigne worked at Sprague Electric, the Lobster Pot, and for many years was involved in the home nursing and healthcare fields and worked for Central Vermont Hospital.
Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial wil be at a later date in Williamstown.
