Margaret Anne Marr, 80, of Washington died on October 28, 2011 at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, ID.
She was born in Tacoma, Washington on October 19, 1931, the daughter of Louis W. and Elisabeth (Sanbec) Doten. She grew up in Lakewood, WA and graduated from Clover Park High School in 1949. She later graduated from Washington State College in 1953 with a degree in education.
On February 5, 1955, she married William Marr in Tacoma at the Little Church on the Prairie.
In 1955, while her husband was deployed with the United States Navy, Mrs. Marr came to live in Montpelier with her husband's parents, Harold & Irene Hewitt. She worked for Montpelier High School as a full time substitute teacher.
She and her husband later moved to Idaho. It was there that she updated her teaching certificate and was a substitute teacher at Potlatch High School. She was also a council member of the Boys Scouts of American and would volunteer at a local camp as a cook.
She enjoyed playing card, cruises, spending time on the beach, and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending the summers at the family's camp on Groton Pond.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Marr of Potlatch, ID; two sons, Bob Marr of Potlatch, ID and Clif Marr of Prosser, WA.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, Jack Doten and Robert Doten.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Berlin Corners Cemetery.
