Montpelier, Fair Haven, VT M. Jane Bailey, 89, formerly of Colonial Drive, Montpelier and most recently of Fair Haven, VT died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at The Pines in Rutland, VT. Jane was born in Hardwick, VT on August 13, 1919 the daughter of Adelbert Wells and Grace (Trow) Wells. She attended schools in Northfield and graduated from Northfield High School. Jane was married to Charles Bailey in Montpelier on August 26, 1941. Mr. Bailey died in August 1943. Mrs. Bailey worked over 20 years at the former McLellan Store on Main Street, Montpelier. She later worked at National Life Insurance Company for 11 years retiring in 1981. She is survived by her 2 sons, Charles Bailey and his wife, debi bailey of Fair Haven, VT; and Bert Bailey and his wife, BetteAnn Bailey of Winter Haven, FL; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Bailey of Fair Haven and Michael Bailey of Williamstown, VT; and Lisa Noel of Long Beach, Mississippi and 5 great granchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Bagalio and 2 brothers, Mahlon & Paul Wells. Burial and Committal service will be held at a later date at Green Mount Cemetery, Montpelier. Arrangements are being handled by Guare & Sons Funeral Home, 30 School Street, Montpelier, VT.
