MONTPELIER: Luis Cipriano Amor, 81, died Friday, October 29,2010 at Rowan Court in Barre, VT. Born in Montpelier, on September 29, 1927, he was the son of Cipriano Victor and Maria Maza Amor. Luis was a graduate of St. Michael's High School in Montpelier. He joined the U.S. Army after graduation and later apprenticed with his father at Anderson-Freiberg Granite in Barre as a toolmaker/blacksmith. Luis enjoyed hunting, traveling, and sports as a young man. He especially enjoyed watching Yankee baseball games. He is survived by his sisters, Amparo Amor Bliss of Montpelier, VT. and Dolores Amor Monks of Andover, MA. as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Isabel Amor Irwin of Kittery, ME. A private family burial will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010, in the Berlin Cemetery. Barber & Lanier Funeral Home assisted in the arrangements.
