Lousie (Janz) Davis, of Montpelier died September 16, 2012. She was born March 6, 1931 in Ryder, ND the daughter of Otto and Frida (Galow) Janz.
She attended public school in Ryder, ND before attending Capital University in Columbus, OH and later graduating with a Masters Degree from Columbia University.
She was married to Frank M. Davis, he died March 1, 2007.
Louise worked in various capacities as a nurse including Meningers in Kansas as well as Waterbury State Hospital in Vermont before becoming a Professor of Nursing at Vermont College which later merged with Norwich University where she retired in 1989.
For many years she and Frank split time between Calais, VT and Daytona Beach, FL before moving from Calais to Montpelier. In later years they spent the entire year in Montpelier.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her brother Martin and her sister Ruth (Berry).
She is survived by three children, Elizabeth Fortman of Middlesex; Nancy Davis of Winooski; and Philip Davis of Acton, MA; as well as 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A grave side service will be held at the convenience of the family.
