Montpelier, VT Louis J. "Joe" Mason, 63, of Wheelock Street died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in Barre, VT. He was born on September 22, 1954 in Bennington, VT, the son of Louis J. and Flora (Matson) Mason. He received his education from Bennington Public Schools, graduating from Bennington High School in 1973. He later attended Ethan Allen College. Most recently Joe worked for Capital Candy as a delivery driver. Joe was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Old Western Movies. Most of all Joe loved caring for his beloved Pug, "Lucy". On June 1, 2013, he married Victoria Grappone in Hampton Beach, NH. Survivors include his children; Amy Mason of Brandon, Louis J. Mason III of Manchester, VT, Frederick Mason of Kingston, MA, Thomas Mason of Addison, VT; step children, Aimee Tedeschi of Plainfield, VT and Michael Gadwah of Waterford, VT; sisters, Lee Cross of Arlington, VT, Kathy ODeil of Bennington, VT, Sandra Wirasnik of Bennington, VT, Patricia Cummings of Bennington, VT, Cindy Knapp of Bennington, VT; and Twelve grandchildren.
