WORCESTER: Lila A.Wilder, 88, of Eagle Ledge Road in Worcester, died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin. She was born in Calais on July 28, 1922 to Freeman and Mary Elizabeth (Brunell) Avery. She attended schools in Calais and Plainfield. On September 8, 1939, Lila married Walter C. Wilder, who predeceased her on Oct. 15, 1999. She was a seasonal worker at Maxxam's Mink Farm. Lila is survived by her son, Wayne Wilder; daughters Janet Pollard and Patricia Bador, all of Worcester; brothers Richard Avery of Chelsea and William Avery of East Corinth. 10 grandchildren, 22 Great-grandchildren and 3 Great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, David Wilder, sisters Doris Blaisdell, Pauline Spidle, and Eva Pilbin. A graveside service will be held in the Northfield Falls Cemetery at a later date, time and date to be announced. Barber & Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
