Lawrence "Larry" Jay Perry, 63, of Cherry Tree Hill Road passed away peacefully Monday, September 21st, at Central Vermont Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born in Morrisville , VT on October 22, 1945, the son of Andrew and Ina (Maxham) Perry and attended schools in Waterbury.
Following his education Larry
served several years in the Vermont Army National Guard. He worked as a truck driver for 25 years for S.T. Paving in Waterbury and also for the Town of East Montpelier road crew. He retired from S.T. Paving.
Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his camp in South Hero, VT. He was a member of the NRA and American Legion in Waterbury . Larry loved his animals especially his pet boxer, Lilly Bell.
He was married to Pamela Cubit on December 26, 1964. They had five sons together. Steven Perry and Suzanne McGee of Waterbury ; Timothy Perry and Jamie Ransom of Waterbury ; Michael Perry and Erin Putney of Waterbury , Jeffrey Perry of Waterbury ; Christopher Perry and his wife Jennifer of Berlin, VT.
He later married Paula Seguin on June 29, 1974 in Worcester , VT and they had two sons together. Daniel Perry and his wife Brittany of East Montpelier and Lawrence Perry II and his wife Tanya of Middlesex. Larry was very proud of his 7 sons.
He had 14 grandchildren, Ryan, Ben, Megan, Kristen, Mathew, Kaitlyn, Isaiah, MacKenzie, Justin, Alyssa, Brendan, Christopher, Jade and Maxx; 1 great granddaughter, Hayden.
Larry is also survived by three sisters, Ramona Coolbeth of Waterbury, VT; Sheila Courtney and her husband Lee of Gulfbreeze, FL; Denise Lilley of Waterville, VT; two brothers, Douglas Perry and his wife Claudia of Ellijay, GA; and Kelvin Perry of Barre, VT; many nieces and nephews.
A grave side memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 26th, at Plain-Mont Cemetery , East Montpelier.
