Lawrence A Desillier ( Larry ) passed away just before midnight on November 23, 2016 leaving his family devastated from the quick and totally disabiling battle with cancer. Larry had spent nearly the last two decades in the hills of Middlesex, Vermont. He opened his big heart to his new wife Linda ( Alexander ) Desillier and her two sons Aaron and Mason Alexander. During this time Aaron married Ashley Wood and recently gave birth to Rex our first grandson. Mason married Shannon Boyle and have given us two beautiful grand-daughters Adeline and Jocelyn. He enjoyed kayaking, camping, going to local activities, gardening and acting like a true Vermonter gathering wood and preparing for the four seasons. He made new friends and rekindled friendships with old classmates from grade school as well as fellow soldiers he had served with in Viet Nam. Studies of his genealogy gave way to traveling into Canada on vacations in our trailer which gave him great pleasure. He loved his dogs and the wildlife that surrounds our home.
Before coming to Vermont he lived in Mystic Conn. with his wife Connie and their two children Jennifer and Larry. Jennifer married Brian Flemming of Noank, Conn. and have an adorable daughter Cecily. His son Larry married Gina Amabello who also had a sweet little girl Audrey, living on Cape Cod near Brewster Mass.
Larry was predeceased by his parents Lawrence A. Desillier and Marjorie Gill as well as his brother Richard Gill Desillier ( who died in Cambodia in 1969 ). It was Larry's wish to be buried beside his brother in the family plot in Westerly, R.I. The military graveside service will be held April 30, 2016.
