Kraig Karol Greenslit, aged 60, of Warren, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 17, 2025. He was born on August 6, 1964, to Elizabeth Comes and Alvin Greenslit. Kraig was known for his warmth, strong work ethic, and sense of humor. His unwavering dedication to his family, especially his children and grandchildren, will be deeply missed.
In his earlier years, Kraig served in the Army as a cannon crewman, where he was recognized as a marksman with an M16 and an expert in hand grenades, earning an Army Service Ribbon. He later dedicated himself to property management with Valley Caretaker Services, working alongside company owner and good friend Bill Peatman. His commitment and work ethic were undeniable, yet he still knew how to have fun—once building an entire stone walkway with Tonka toys alongside his son Tommy. Though Kraig was a man of few words, he always left a lasting impression.
Kraig is survived by his daughter, Melissa Greenslit, and his son, Tommy Greenslit. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Karla, Kevin, Klaude Greenslit, and half-brother Paul Brink, as well as his sisters-in-law, Cindy and Darcy Greenslit. He also cherished his role as a grandfather to Hayley, Greyson, and Evelyn.
Kraig was preceded in death by: His siblings Konnie Greenslit, Kalvin Greenslit, Kenny Greenslit. His mother and father, and best friend Chris.
A celebration of Kraig's life will be held at a future date, with specific details to be announced. Kraig's kindness and generosity will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
