Kathleen Gaynor Mosher, 54, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at home, surrounded by her loving family. This beautiful daughter of God was born on May 3, 1955, in Nyack, NY. Kathi grew up in New City, NY. She attended St Peter's Parochial School in Haverstraw, NY and graduated from Clarkstown North High School, New City, NY, in 1973.
After graduating she worked for local florists in New City, Nyack and Suffern, NY. In May 1976 she married Mr Glenn R. Brummert of Johnstown, PA. They had four children: Jessica Luisa Goulette of Virginia Beach, VA, Justin Robert Brummert of Barre, VT, and Matthew Thomas Brummert of Barre, VT. She is predeceased to eternal rest by their daughter, Heather Elizabeth Brummert and her father, Robert J. Gaynor.
She is survived by her mother, Kathleen M. Gaynor, of Holiday, FL, her brothers Robert Gaynor of Douglas, WY, and Michael Gaynor of Holiday, FL, and her sister, Patricia Schnackenberg of Palm Harbor, FL, along with several nieces and nephews. She leaves nine dear grandchildren in the loving care of their parents.
She married Mr Michael E. Mosher of Williamsburg, VA, on December 1, 2007, at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Woodstock, VT. The couple initially lived in Barre, VT, moving to Williamsburg after completion of Kathi's extended therapy at Fletcher-Allen Hospital in Burlington, VT. Mr Mosher continues to reside in Williamsburg.
Kathi's great passion in life was Catholic education. She worked as school secretary approximately twelve years at St Peter's Parochial School in Haverstraw, NY. She became an ardent supporter of Central Vermont Catholic School when she moved to Barre, VT, in 1996.
Kathi was known for ministering to any and all who "came to the door" at St Augustine's in Montpelier. Her unassuming manner and magnetic, warm smile soothed many an aching heart and troubled soul. She spread faith and hope through the power of patience and understanding. Her life was one of service gladly given no matter the cost to her personally.
