Montpelier, VT John N. Pollard, 68, of Pioneer Apartment and formerly of Barre Street and First Ave, died on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home. He was born at Heaton Hospital on January 16, 1945, the son of Nelson and Mary (Dupuis) Pollard. He attended Montpelier Schools. On August 25, 1974 he married the former Donna Farnham at St. Augustine's Church in Montpelier. John worked for Vermont Tree Service for over 20 years. He also worked as a janitor for the Montpelier Post Office, Social Security Officer, and Vermont College. He would often do odd jobs for local seniors citizens. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his son, John D. Pollard and his wife, Heather and their children, Isaac, Tommy, Elizabeth, Maleya, and Brighton of South Bend, IN; siblings, Jane Mowery and her husband Charlie of Ludlow, VT, Sallie LaBounty and her husband Albie of Kelowna, British Columbia, Steven Pollard and his wife Janet of Worcester, VT; sister in law, Rose Pollard of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Nelson and Mary Pollard, and a brother, David Pollard. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 7:30 at Guare & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be with his parents at Green Mount Cemetery.
