Washington, VT John S. Cozza, of Back Pasture Lane in Washington, died on February 19, 2021 at the McClure Respite House in Colchester, VT. He was born on March 7, 1936, the son of John and Dolores (Smith) Cozza in Bridgeport, CT. After attending public schools in CT, John enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, where he served during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1956. In 1960, John married Katherine Camp in Rockville, MD, together they had four children. John worked primarily for Hartley and Parker Distributors in Strafford, CT. After 30 years of service, he retired in 1998. Upon retiring John and Katherine moved to what was once his hunting camp in Washington, VT. It was here that John was able to enjoy hunting, fishing and all the outdoors activities that Vermont offers. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Katherine Cozza of Washington, VT; his children, John Cozza of Plainfield, VT, James Cozza of Palmetto, FL, Christopher Cozza of Hamden, CT, Sean Cozza of Vernon, VT and his beloved sister Kathy Parker of CT; many grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
