Moretown, VT John Joseph Audy, Sr., 75, of Moretown, VT, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 surrounded by his family. John was born December 17, 1942 to Hazel (Sweetser) and Oscar Audy of Waterbury, VT. John enjoyed playing poker, snowmobiling with his family; hunting, fishing, and camping were also hobbies of Johns. He liked to watch NASCAR every Sunday and enjoyed watching the Red Sox play. John and his wife Christine had a painting business call "Plain and Simple Painting" that they ran for many years. Johns last job was working for Woodbury College (CCV) in Montpelier before retiring full time in the mid 2000s. John is survived by his four sons and their spouses: Mark Audy of Barre, VT, Paul Audy of Concord, NH, Tim Audy of CT, and John Audy, Jr. of Fairfax, VT; and their mother, Donna Keough of Montpelier, VT. Also surviving him are his two brothers; Jerry Audy of Morrisville, VT, Bruce Audy of Arlington, VT and one sister Teresa Watson of Alexandria, VA. Also surviving him are his wife, Christine Audy of Moretown, VT and his step children and their spouses; James Davy, Jr., of Worcester, VT, Rita Rounds of Middlesex, VT, Nora Haggett of Middlesex, VT, Cara Herring of Berlin, VT, Lisa Davy of Stanley, NC, and Vincent Davy of Middlesex, VT; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents; Hazel and Oscar Audy and his son, David Audy. Arrangements are in the care of Guare & Sons Funeral Home.
