Montpelier , VT Joe Ann (Malone) Richardson, 98, passed away on October 5, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. Born in Franklin KY, September 12, 1920 to Wilford and Mary (Clark) Malone. Joe Ann met her husband A Russell Richardson while he was stationed in the Army at Fort Knox, KY in 1943. They married in April 1944 in Franklin, KY. Russ was discharged from the Army. Russ and Joe Ann moved to his hometown, Montpelier VT. Joe Ann golfed at Barre Country Club well into her nineties and skied at Mount Mansfield and Surgarbush into her eighties. She is survived by her daughters Carol Carbo Crouse (Len), Lisa Tosi (Mike) and grandchildren, Trevor Carbo (Kelly), Josh Carbo (Katie Denton), Jennifer (Hajar) Naughton (Mike), Christine (Hajar) Chastanet (Ryan), Laura Hajar, Amy Richardson Mitchell (Nathan), Ashley Goss (Justin Barberi) and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Ellis Clark Malone, husband, daughter, Linda Hajar and son, Dean. Friends are invited to attend a family gathering at Joe Anns home on October 19, 2018 from 2:00 4:00pm.
