Gill, MA Jimmy D Tomasi, age 69 of Gill, MA born October 16, 1948 in Montpelier, VT passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 peacefully in his home after a lengthy battle of declining health. He was the son of the late Andrew Canova Tomasi and Florence Louise (Parry) Tomasi. Jimmy was predeceased by his parents and half sister Barbara Collins of South Barre, VT. He owned the Pines Restaurant and Bar in the heart of Montpelier in his younger years and worked for a time at the Eagles Club in Brattleboro, VT before moving to MA where he was a maintenance supervisor at Power Town Apartments in Turners Falls, MA. Following that, he was self employed, operating as Jim Tomasis Maintenance & Construction Co where he enjoyed working with and teaching his children from an early age. A few of the things that Jimmy enjoyed were his family and friends, yearly trips to Florida and fixing things around the house... he was a jack of all trades. Jimmy is survived by the love of his life Deborah Tomasi, his daughter Julie Pearson and her husband Keith of Montague, MA, his two sons Jimmy Jr. and his wife Sindi of Bernardston, MA, Jeffrey of Gill, MA, his three grandchildren Ben, Stephanie, Gabe, and his adored and loyal dog Isabelle. He also leaves behind his sister Bonnie Tomasi of Whitingham, VT and her daughter Amber Foster and great nieces Ashley and Alyssa. Visiting hours will be 11:00 am, Wednesday July 18, 2018 at Guare & Sons Funeral Home, 30 School Street, Montpelier, VT followed by graveside services at Green Mount Cemetery 250 State Street.
