Calais, VT Jennifer LaFlamme Pike, 59, died Friday, July 24th, at her home in Calais surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on December 28, 1949 in Troy, VT Jennifer married David H. Pike of Montpelier on November 8, 1969 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Her legacy will be carried on by her husband David and their two sons, Adam H. Pike and granddaughter, Emma of Littleton, Colo; and Aaron R. Pike of Barre. VT. Jennifer was one of five children and is survived by two sisters, Anita of NH; Emma of VT and a brother, Edward of NH; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Minnie. Jennifer attended Montpelier Schools and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1967. She continued her education at Fanny Allen School of Nursing in Burlington, VT. She worked as a LPN for 40 years in the surrounding area and in Port Charlotte, FL; including Central Vermont Hospital, Berlin Health & Rehabilitation Center and the Gary Home. Jennifer and David resided between their two homes in Port Charlotte, FL and Calais, VT. Jennifer's passions included gardening, outdoors activities, being an aerobic's instruction and above all being a Mother and Grandmother. Her wish was to rest in peace in a family cemetery at their cabin in Calais, VT. Her memory will be cherished by all who were blessed to know her. She will be forever loved. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 30th, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Plainfield.
