Jeanne Claire Seguin Leno, 70, of Barre Street, Montpelier and a resident of Woodridge Nursing Home died March 14, 2014 at Central Vermont Hospital.
She was born in Barre on March 21, 1943 the daughter of Paul L. & Millicent (Fleurrey) Seguin.
Jeanne attended St. Michael's Grade School and graduated from St. Michaels High School in the class of 1960.
On April 8, 1961 she married Bernard C. Leno in St. Augustines Catholic Church.
Jeanne worked at National Life Insurance Company and also for Thelma Corry, CPA and she retired from the State of Vermont Agency of Transportation, Right of Way division.
She loved to knit, read, and play Bingo. Jeanne will always be remembered for her dancing days with Bernie!! She loved visiting with her family and friends.
She is survived by her Mother, Millicent of East Montpelier; five children, Michelle Dion and her husband, Mark of Berlin; Bernard C. Leno Jr., and his wife, Vanessa of East Calais; Christine Christensen and her husband, Jon of Waterville, ME; Christopher Leno and his wife, Laura of Montpelier; Crystal Lamson and her husband, Rob of Northfield; 15 grandchildren, Melissa Cadorette and her husband, Jon; Monica Dion; Whitney Leno, Amanda Leno; Nicholas Christensen; Betsy Leno, Andrew Leno, Jennifer Christensen, Tabitha-Lee Leno; Nicholas Lamson; Curtis Leno, Hailey Lamson; Megan Leno; Elyza Lamson, Autumn-Taylor Leno and 5 great-grandchildren; Riley Cadorette, Lydia Cadorette, Warren Richards, Hayden Leno and Jerimiah Leno; two sisters Gaylene Kramer and Paula Perry and many nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was pre-deceased by her husband, Bernie on Dec. 11, 2009 and her Father, Paul Seguin on April 24, 2013.
A Funeral Mass and burial will be announced at a later date in the spring.
The family wants to thank the staff at Woodridge Nursing Home for their excellent and always kind care of our Mother. We would also like to thank the nurses and staff of CVMC. They were the best!!!
