Janice (Chandler) Morse, 79, of Calais, Vermont passed away at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, Vermont on February 19, 2013 with her sons and her husband of 61 years at her bedside. She fought a long and courageous battle with Sjogren's syndrome.
Born in Montpelier, Vermont on December 10, 1933, she was the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Sicely) Chandler. She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1951. She was an accomplished seamstress and freelance bookkeeper. She was loved by her family and many dear friends for her good nature, generosity and fond company. She enjoyed traveling with her nieces Lucille, Janice, Sue, Hope and Prudence. Many of her days were shared with lifetime friend Eva Morse. In addition to her husband Stanley Morse she is survived by two sons Brent Morse of Barre, VT and Darryl Morse of Calais, VT, three grandchildren Angela Morse of Plattsburg NY, Erica Morse of Burlington, VT and Jack Morse of Wellesley, MA as well as three generations of nieces and nephews.
Her siblings, Gordon Chandler, Eunice Carpenter and Mildred Chandler predeceased her.
In accordance with the family's wishes, a memorial service will be held in the spring, at a time and place to be announced.
