East Montpelier, VT Janet M. Franz, 70, of Route 14 in East Montpelier died unexpectedly on December 19, 2018. She was born on December 6, 1948, in Bufffalo, NY, the daughter of Roger and Martha (Borchard) Franz. She attended schools in Clarence, NY and graduated from Clarence Central High School. She later received her Bachelors degree from Hiram College in Hiram, OH and a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Vermont. Janet worked of the State Court System as an administrator and as a Human Resource officer. She later worked as an adjunct instructor of History for Norwich University. Survivors include her siblings, Margaret Johnson of Ashtabula, OH, Gerald Franz of Flagstaff, AZ, and Jonathan Franz of Rochester, NY. She also leaves a longtime friend, John Amadon.
